2015 Motorcycle Live Event, Modern Motorcycling Comes Alive !

The blurb for this Motorcycle Live show says "Where modern motorcycling comes alive" – yeah, but for years now Motorcycle Live has had a bigger and bigger classic showing and following and we love it. As one of the cornerstones of the modern motorcycling calendar, you’ll see all the normal ‘hot-poop’ latest motorcycles with all the gizmos you could point a sharpened stick at, but thankfully you will also see a burgeoning classic presence.

Motorcycle Live 2015

For example, At last year Motorcycle Live, Suzuki GB fired up a number of classic RG race bikes and the smell and sound was simply amazing. They also built up a Suzuki TL1000S on their Vintage Parts stand over the duration of the show and we will be following this year’s great event where – to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the GSX-R750 family – they will be building up an original slab-sider during the show. Check out next issue for more details on that one.

Suzuki will also be having a display of some of the finest examples of the GSX-R breed from all capacities on their stand. So don’t miss that. Our friends at the National Motorcycle Museum who are literally based over the road will be providing their own unique ‘hands-on’ display where British motorcycling literally will come to life.

Add into the mix celebs at the show including our own James Whitham and Steve Parrish on the main stage holding regular quizzes, Q&A sessions and the like and you really can’t miss it. As if you didn’t know 2015 Motorcycle Live Event is held at Birmingham’s NEC and for more information about tickets go to: www.motorcyclelive.co.uk

International Dirt Bike Show

The International Dirt Bike Show organiser Nick Mowbray says:

"It is always something of a challenge for the Dirt Bike Show team to maintain upward momentum and to ensure that off-road fans have a great time, feel they have received top value for money and leave the event buzzing; but it’s a challenge we relish! We can’t wait to open the doors at Stoneleigh Park on Thursday, October 29. See you there!"

Motorcycle Events : Ramsgate Sprint Revival

Many years ago the seaside town of Ramsgate in East Kent and its incumbent Sunbeam Motor Cycle Club organised quartermile sprints along the Western Undercliff.

Ramsgate Spring Revival

For 12 years until 1968 the events drew large crowds before the slightly curved seafront course, with its unforgiving cast-iron railings, was deemed too dangerous for use – that was until 2015, as now once again over the weekend of August 15-16 the Undercliff will echo to the sound of race engines.

A short course will allow demonstrations of bikes of the era, including a number that were stars of the original events, to evoke memories of times past.

Ramsgate Spring Revival

On Government Acre, the cliff top area above the course, further attractions will include a static display of bikes organised by the East Kent Classic Motorcycle Club.

Being the town of My Friends birth, he probably will be around should anyone want to meet up, but more interestingly six times world champion Jim Redman will also be at the event. For more informations, you can go to Ramsgate Sprint Revival Official Site.
