Miss the set-junction, .. but head on ...

After the break, we pushed-on.

We were supposed to turn in a designated junction to do a short-cut to Keningau,

.. but the 'lead-bike' was so fast .., and overshot the turn-in junction for the short-route.

To turn back, it'll take a longer time,

so, we push forward instead of backwards and use another beautiful scenic route ..

....

The Nasi-kandar stop ..

Everytime if we passed by this route, the boys wanted to stop by this 'gerai' to have some food or break.

The food here is absolutely lousy/bad !!.. and it's expensive too....,

2 dishes at $ XX amount.

3 dishes also at $XX amount ...

if you mixed twenty dishes on rice and put curry all over ....

.. it's gonna be at $XX amount also !!...

.. well, guessed it's located just by the road side..., so it's bleedy convenient.., i supposed

.next stop - Keningau via Crockers ..

Immigrations checkpoint

From our meeting-point, we push straight up to the immigration cross-border post without any further delays.

We cut back on our regular ritual smoke-break and all other pee-break ...

it's either smoke and pee while you ride or don't at all ...

Meet up point @ 0430hrs ..,

this is the beginning of a 'plan' road trip..
we called it the 'Short Way Down' ..

.. after some caffeine and nicotine.., we push-on even before the sunrise...,

.. This will be an adventure that's gonna stay with most us for a very long time ..,

The Discussion

The Usual suspects road trip is coming up soon, this will be a big group and all kinda bikes are involved, preppin' has to be made to all bikes ..,

it'll be a 'Short Way Down' ..[shortest way to a far destination]

So .., map has been laid out on the table, free flow of 'drinks' and snacks..,

and we met up at "The Den"...

As mentioned in our previous discussions, destination and route has been set, it's ONLY the date are not confirm.

It's An Adventure, Tarmac, Gravel, and Others in-between ..,
and I believed this will be our FINAL Loooong Ride for 2010,,.. before our MAD-Ride plan on 2011 !!

Route : DAY ONE
BWN - SIPITANG - KG LABOI - PADAS WHITE WATER RAFTING -TENOM - MELALAP - KENINGAU : +-300KM
[ .. aha .., this'll be oNLY in the Morning ..]

KENINGAU - KG SOOK - KG NABAWAN - KG LOBOU - KG SAUPI - SAPALUT - LASARAN - BATU PUNGGUL PINNACLE - TAMBULANAN - KALAPAKAN - SERUDONG - UMAS UMAS - BIG SEAFOOD TAWAU : +-370KM
[ .. this will be the afternoon session .. ]

Route : DAY TWO
BIG SEAFOOD TAWAU - KG BUKIT QUOIN - BALUNG RIVER - KUBANG PINANG - DIVE HAVEN SEMPORNA - BIG SEAFOOD TAWAU: +- 280KM
[ .. that's not including diving, scuba snorkeling, sun-bathing ..]

Route : DAY THREE
DO A RETURN LEG - +-670KM,
[STOP AT LISSIE'S FOR A COLD ONE WITH SOME CHIX WINGS !!]

This will be an adventure !!
total roundaround will be approx. 1620KMs ..

.. gonna take some bashin' in a few hours,
gonna run a 300++Km straight ...
.. this is a 32 years old 'metal' and has been a run-around machine around the city road for me all these while...

.. sepultura, rage against the machine, godsmack, silverchair tunes for this 'run' ...
