TVS Motor Company is one of the premier car company in India. The word stands for TV TVS Sundaram Iyengar and Sons Limited, which is the holding company for the TVS Group companies. The Company is engaged in the manufacture of almost all types of automotive components, two wheels and some other industrial products. The company was founded by TV Sundaram Iyengar in 1911. The company is headquartered in Chennai and manufacturing and R & D units located in Mysore and Hosur, near Bangalore and Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. TVS Motor Company is the first two-wheeler manufacturer in the world to be honored with the Deming Prize for Total Quality Management.

This collaboration with Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan, to manufacture 100 cc motorcycles under the brand name Ind-Suzuki Motor. Furthermore, the company changed its name to TVS Suzuki Ltd. However, a collaboration with Suzuki for motorcycles only. Collaboration with Suzuki ended in 2001 and after that, the name was changed to TVS Motor Company. The Company has set up production units abroad in Indonesia.
